About Your Cooperative > Customer Service Commitment

If you’ve already taken a look at Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative’s Mission Statement, History, or almost any page here in our new online profile of our cooperative, you should be well aware that our service commitment is focused clearly on our members. To reiterate, FTC is dedicated to being your local telecom provider. We strive to offer our members and patrons the highest level of service, not just as any company serving the community but also as a partner serving neighbors and friends in the Sand Mountain region.

Since we have a shared interest in, and commitment to, these communities, FTC actively supports local businesses, civic initiatives, and events, all of which contribute to the overall well being of our area. Through our continued support, and through the advanced telecom services we offer, we play an important role in economic growth and prosperity here in northeastern Alabama. After all, success is a two-way street — and ours depends on yours.

FTC offers services equal to — if not better than — those available in most urban markets. Likewise, it’s our goal to respond to your questions and requests in prompt and courteous fashion. As a telecom provider, we realize we must offer reliable and affordable services that shape and improve our members’ lives and that enable our communities to thrive. And, as a partner on the local scene, we want to help you understand how critical issues in the telecom industry — such as universal service and regulatory decisions — will affect FTC as a cooperative and you as a member.

Still, at the end of the day, we must address your telecom needs — and that means actively listening to you. We hope that in our increasingly "remote" society, you’ll take comfort in the fact that you can deal with us right here, "face-to-face" — not through an automated answering system or a distant service center. Not only do we encourage you to you call, but we remind you that if you’re looking for us, we’re just down the road.

Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative plans to continue serving DeKalb and Jackson counties through our FTC service lines for years to come. Our history is rich, and we are proud that our success as a service provider will bring benefits to the lives of those here in the community and help keep you connected.
